The U.K. supports a fairly healthy die casting industry.
Although somewhat smaller than it was 20 years ago, new plant
investment by Japanese and other foreign auto makers and their
suppliers have contributed to the industry's renewed strength.
Among the newer plants are those operated by Honda
(Swindon), Toyota
(Deeside) and Ryobi
(Carrickfergus). One of the larger groups is Trident
Components Group (TCG), with manufacturing plants
located across Europe. These include a total of six diecasting
plants in the following countries: Austria, Germany, Norway,
Slovenia and Croatia.
