CastingTrade provides different levels of
servies for different members. First, we provide a free searchable
worldwide database for buyers and suppliers. Anyone can search
it without any limitations.
Secondly, the buyer and
suppier can register as our clients and members. Once a supplier
becomes a member of the CastingTrade community, you can participate
in the buying and selling of built-to-order parts, manufacturing
capabilities and capacity. Only members of the CastingTrade
community are able to participate. The process of the exchange
starts with a client issuing an RFQ that includes the project
description (with 3-D CAD models or 2-D electronic drawing
files), buyer's preference for supplier's quality, cost, delivery,
capabilities, and commercial terms.
CastingTrade then utilizes its patent pending "Process
Master (TM) Business System for Ameliorating 'Subcontracting
Risk' " and expert system for matching supplier's
capabilities with the buyer's requirements. This enables CastingTrade
to identify suppliers with a "sweet-spot" for the
requirements of the RFQ.
The potential suppliers will be able to collaborate on-line
with the buyer to complete their quotation, negotiate, discuss
details of the design and access required fulfillment services
such as logistics. The issuer of the RFQ, the buyer, will
then select the supplier having the best value across multiple
parameters. CastingTrade realizes that purchase decisions
are based on more than just price; so all bids are presented
to the buyer with additional information on price, quality,
and lead-time to ensure an informed decision can be made.
Once the selection is made, the parts can be produced and
delivered to the buyer.
