We need to give suppliers an incentive to do a good job providing information.

Their biggest incentive is to know that YOU are looking!

Therefore, we publish an "Active Buyers List" -- a list of buyers who use this website. In order to give this list maximum credibility, we provide the name of the buyer, not just the company. Your name carries weight with suppliers.

We've tried to make it possible for you to authorize this as unobtrusively and simply as possible. At the same time, we need you to understand that it is necessary to provide this list so that everyone can enjoy the highest quality site -- i.e. the one with the maximum supplier participation -- possible. That's why we ask you to list yourself as a buyer in return for access to the full contents of the supplier database. (In the future, we may ask you to reconfirm that listing periodically, to keep our list fresh.)

We recognize that most buyers want to be left alone by new suppliers unless they, themselves, initiate contact. In order to protect your privacy, we have the following policy:

• we get your authorization before placing your name on the list of buyers who use the site
• we list only your company name, your name, and your title
• we do not sell your name or other information to third parties
• we do not publish your information that you have not specifically authorized us to publish

For buyers who DO want to receive solicitations from suppliers, or for those who want to make it easier for suppliers to find their contact information and/or learn about their company, we make two OPTIONS available to you:

• You have the OPTION of adding your company website URL and/or your contact e-mail to your entry on the "Active Buyers List"
• You have the OPTION of listing yourself in our "Buyer Database," where you can inform potential suppliers key information they need to know in order to build a better relationship with you.
